Let me start off by saying that the following story is IN FACT real. I won’t be revealing the name of the song so don’t bother asking me…
I had my surround-sound headphones on while listening to some music and browsing Facebook. I had the media player on shuffle, sifting through some of my favorite songs. A song I liked a lot in particular started to play. I began singing along (out of tune, if you will) and noticed something rather… strange. I heard something in the song I had never heard before. It occured during the chorus. The sound was panned at the back of my headphones and couldn’t be heard through regular speakers. It sounded like… moaning or something. I couldn’t make it out. I instantly paused the song and opened it in my audio editor. I deleted all the channels except the channel that was panned in the back. I played it and I could hear faint drums and vocals. I skimmed to the chorus. There it was! That sound, only slightly clearer due to the lack of instruments and vocals. I trimmed the clip so only the section with the sound played. I put it on loop and played it… over and over. I couldn’t understand it, but it sounded like speech. I instantly decided to reverse the clip. Then I had understood it. It was in fact vocals. It said “Six… Six… Six… Your children are demons. Kill. The end is [nigh?]. *screaming and whipping noises*” As the clip looped, I became slightly ill and mortified. There was a high pitched squeal playing behind the reversed vocals. It looped for nearly 3 minutes until I closed the program. I sat there for a couple minutes trying to understand what I had just heard. I was overwhelmed with fear and confusion. The sound of the voice… and everything… just had an adverse affect on me. I don’t understand why the clip plays in the song but I can no longer listen to that song anymore without becoming ill. I can’t even listen to the band anymore. I won’t be releasing the name of the song or the band due to horrifying affect it had on me; I don’t want anyone else to hear it. As I type this, the sound clip is still mentally looping. It… won’t stop.
